Financial Account Manager

K2 is seeking a Financial Account Manager for our Orlando, FL clinic. The Financial Account Manager serves as the financial expert on all details of assigned studies from start to finish; and provides management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Build study budgets and maintain financial tracking/lifecycle in Clinical Conductor. Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of all study information. 
  • Coordinate as necessary with the clinical teams to accurately track revenues earned by procedure, visit, outsourced procedure, and reimbursable item.
  • Establish milestones and set up alerts through the Project Management section of Clinical Conductor or other tracking mechanisms to notify the appropriate clinic team when critical tasks need to be completed.
  • Post all study revenue completely and accurately in Clinical Conductor.
  • Create and send all invoices for all services performed in the study to Sponsor/CRO.
  • Monitor studies for timely payment termsIdentify problem accounts that are likely to become an issue of slow or non-payment.
  • Communicate closely with the clinical team/Sponsor regarding collection issues or invoice discrepancies.
  • Manage collections of Account Receivable to stay with company DSO goal.
  • Perform month-end revenue duties and study reconciliations.
  • Lead monthly AR meetings with Managing Partners.
  • Adhere to company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional accounting skills and accounting terminology.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to requisite details.
  • Ability to handle confidential/sensitive information accurately and appropriately.
  • Proficient with MS Office, CTMS and other industry software. 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Mathematics and/or related field from a four-year college or university.
  • Minimum of 1 year of accounting and/or finance experience.
  • Experience managing incoming payments and their precise allocation to clinical conductors.
  • Experience maintaining financial integrity and preventing discrepancies.
  • Experience managing and supporting month-end closing processes, consistently meeting tight deadlines.
  • Strong working knowledge of financial and accounting processes.
